Teacher Salary Schedule
Beginning teacher salary is $36,800
Benefits
The District pays $250 toward each full-time employee's health insurance TRS-ActiveCare.

All employees receive five local sick days in addition to the five state personal days.

Employees may also join the Morris Recreation Center at Texas A&M University-Commerce for $100 per semester through the district's corporate plan. A payroll deduction plan is available. Spouses may join for $105 payable by check to CISD. Enrollment takes place during the first week of the fall, spring and summer semesters.

Auxiliary Staff
Applicants for auxiliary positions such as bus drivers, secretaries and maintenance workers should apply in person at the Administration Building at 604 Culver St.

Current openings
Clerical aide, Tri County SSA, 187 day position. Apply at the Administration Building. Position closes August 27.

Substitute Teachers
Applicants interested in substitute teaching should download an application, complete it and return it to the Administration Buildling at 604 Culver St.

Substitutes who have a high school diploma are paid $55/day, subs with 30 hours of college receive $65/day and subs with a college degree are paid $75/day. Documentation in the form of a transcript must be presented to receive higher pay.

Candidates must attend an hour-long orientation before being allowed to substitute. Orientations are scheduled throughout the school year.

Substitutes are also required to submit digital fingerprints. The cost to the uncertified substitute is $50.20. Certified subs pay $52.20 for fingerprinting.
