Even though Commerce Elementary School was the last school to receive Promethean Boards, students and staff quickly learned how to use the pens, Elmos and Boards. Integrating the new technology into instruction is vital to engage students, many of which are savvy technology users. Even kindergarten students, such as this one in Heather Kilgore's classroom, love participating in class with the new technology. The new equipment is available in almost every CISD classroom and was provided by a T3 grant, in conjunction with Texas A&M University-Commerce, Wolfe City ISD and Bonham ISD, and e-Rate funds.
