Facility repairs top $800K
Significant facility repairs and improvements have been made district wide during the last year. The Board of Trustees voted to spend up to $1 million to tackle major projects. Funds were expended from the fund balance, or savings account, one might say. Included in the updates were new roofs for the bus barn, CMS gym and CTE building, a new fire alarm system at CES, security cameras throughout the district, parking lot entrance repairs at CES and CHS, a new sound system in the CHS cafetorium and playground equipment at ACW. CISD shared the cost of the ACW playground with Alliance Bank and the ACW PTO. The CHS track was resurfaced and a storage building was built. Track equipment was also purchased. CES had new carpeting installed on the walls of the gym.
The CMS courtyard had a total renovation. Total repairs cost $825,000. Click here to see repairs
