The Department of Instruction, Curriculum, Assessment, and Technology (iCAT) is the hub for teaching and learning in the district. Our goal is to ensure that we provide vision, leadership and expertise in the development of curricular and instructional systems and programs that are research-based, student-centered and address the standards outlined in the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS)College and Career Readiness Standards (CCRS), and English Language Proficiency Standards (ELPS).

The 80th Legislature of the State of Texas passed a bill requiring fitness assessments for all students in grades 3-12 starting in the 2007-2008 school year. For more information, click on Fitnessgram.
