House Bill (HB 3) 3, a sweeping and historic school finance bill was passed by the 86th Texas Legislature in 2019 and signed by Gov. Greg Abbott. The bill provides more money for Texas classrooms, increases teacher compensation, reduces recapture and cuts local property taxes for Texas taxpayers.

Public Notice of Intent to Apply for Perkins V Grant 
Commerce ISD gives public notice of the district’s intention to apply for the 2022-2023 Perkins V: Strengthening Career and Technical Education for the 21st Century grant with the Texas Education Agency. Any member of the public who wishes to provide a comment regarding Commerce ISD’s application for the 2022-2023 Perkins Grant application, can submit comments on or before June 5, 2022, via email to: Mary.Hendrix@commerceisd.org.
